Jon Anderson is an English singer. He also is a songwriter and a multi-instrument musician. His estimated net worth stands at $5 million.
Jon Anderson has earned most of his wealth as the lead singer of the popular rock band “Yes” and as a solo artist. In 1962, Anderson joined “The Warriors.” He and his brother Tony was the lead vocalist of this band. He quit this band in 1967 and later released two solo singles in 1968 under the pseudo name Hans Christian. Over the years Jon has performed for bands like “The Gun” and “The Open Mind.” Anderson met bassist Chris Squire in 1968 and joined him in a group called the “Mabel Greer’s Toyshop”. This group earlier included the guitarist Peter Banks. Anderson, Squire and Banks went on to form band “Yes” with drummer Bill and the keyboardist Tony Kaye. Their debut album was released in 1969. Anderson has performed for shows in Canada and the United States in 2010.
He was married to Jennifer Baker in 1970. The marriage however lasted only till 1995, but they had three children from the union. They have a daughter Deborah Anderson, son Damion Anderson and another daughter Jade Anderson. He subsequently married Jane Luttenberger in 1997.
Deborah Anderson sang a song in her father’s solo album “Song of Seven.” In March 2009, he announced that he had become an American citizen. There was no information if he had retained the UK citizenship. Anderson was into drug abuse, but now he is proud of the fact that he lives a healthier life. Jon now has become a vegetarian.
